Who is responsible

6 O'clock is published by Steeven Fossey, as an individual. For any question about your data: steeven.fossey@me.com.

Data collected

6 O'clock collects only what it needs to work, and all of it is tied to your account:

• Account: email address, username, account identifier, and — if you provide them — a profile photo and a short bio. With Sign in with Apple, your first name may be passed on by Apple at first sign-in to prefill the username.
• Content: the outings you create (title, date, place, notes), your replies to invitations, the messages and photos shared in chats, and the events you say you're going to.
• Social links: your friend list, your friend groups, and the friend requests you send or receive.
• Technical: a notification token, which allows notifications to be delivered to your device.

Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google) and is never readable, neither by the app nor by its publisher.

What 6 O'clock does not collect

• Your location. It is read only if you turn on the “nearby” filter in the Events tab, it is compared against events directly on your device, and it is never transmitted or stored.
• Your calendar. The app can add an outing to it, only when you ask; it never reads its contents.
• Your photos. Only the images you explicitly choose to send are transmitted.
• No advertising identifier, no profiling, no tracking for commercial purposes.

Where your data lives

Data is hosted on Google's Firebase infrastructure, acting as a processor. The database and the server-side processing are located in Europe (regions eur3 and europe-west1).

What it is used for

Solely to provide the service: creating your account, syncing your outings and chats with your friends, sending you the notifications the app describes (invitations, friend requests, messages, reminders), and handling moderation. Notifications can be turned off at any time in iOS Settings.

Reports and moderation

When you report content or an account, a copy of the reported content is attached to the report so that it can be reviewed even if the original is deleted in the meantime. The reported person is not told about it. Measures taken (blocks, bans) are kept for as long as needed to enforce the terms of use.

How long

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting your account — from the app: your profile → Settings → “Delete my account” — permanently erases your profile, your friends, your outings, your replies and your chats. Reports may be kept after deletion, for the time strictly necessary for moderation.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, write to steeven.fossey@me.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).

The events shown

The Events tab shows public events taken from open calendars (OpenAgenda, in particular the calendar of the Calvados department in France), reused under the French Open Licence. These are public listings about events, not personal data.

Minimum age

6 O'clock is not intended for children under 13.

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will show it.
